The Eden woodchip mill dominates 30 m high Munganno Point, occupying about 50 ha, with the Edrom jetty and a second 250 m long jetty on the tip of the point. Tucked in on either side of the steep rocky point are two pockets of sand (NSW 702 & 703), both backed by the mill and off limits to the public. Beach NSW 702 is located mid-way between the northern Edrom Beach and the northern jetty and consists of a 20 m long south-facing pocket of sand, wedge in between rocky shore. A vehicle track leads to the rear of the beach, with the large woodchip stockpile located on the slopes just behind. Beach NSW 703 lies on the north side of the point, 160 m east of the jetty, in a 60 m wide 100 m deep rocky bay. The 30 m long beach faces north out of the rocky bay. It receives low swell, and usually has a low gradient beach sloping into the small bay. It is backed by vegetated slopes then the woodchip stockpile.
