Between Wajurda Point and Mogareeka Inlet the three small beaches are backed by steep 20-30 m high bluffs. Moon Bay (NSW 656) is located 500 m southwest of the point and is a 200 m wide semi-circular shaped bay with a curving 270 m long east-facing beach and low backing foredune, occupying the small backing valley. The narrow entrance and reef lower waves to about 0.5-1 m. They usually maintain an attached bar, with rips only forming during period of high waves.
