Gillards Beach (NSW 653) commences on the southern side of the small northern boundary bluff and rocks and trends due south-southwest for 1.6 km to the small cliffed 25 m high headland that separates it from Cowdroys. It is backed by vegetated slopes rising to 10-20 m with the access road reaching the centre of the beach. Waves average 1.5 m and maintain a series of rips spaced every 200-300 m for the length of the beach.
