Little Beach (NSW 80) lies immediately north of the rocks curving for just 200 m to the river mouth. The beach is a short walk from the caravan park and town, with a small car park at its eastern end. While the beach itself is some what protected by the rocks from southeast waves, it is subjected to strong tidal flows. In particular the falling tide flows seaward in deep channels through the surf zone. Therefore this picturesque spot is hazardous and has claimed several lives. If you are swimming here stay on the usually wide low bar and tide shoals, do not go in the channels or swim in the lower river, particularly on a falling tide.
Beach Length: 0.2km
General Hazard Rating: 6/10
