Carters Beach (NSW 596) lies south of the 80 m long boundary rocks, with the surf zone continuing south past the rocks. It is a curving east-facing 280 m long beach that terminates against the low grassy Kianga Point, which protrudes 100 m seaward. Waves average 1.5 m and maintain a permanent rip against the point, with a second more variable rip flowing out past the northern rocks. The drive swings slightly inland round a small creek that flows across the undeveloped beach, with a vehicle track out onto Kianga Point.
