The northern shore of Batemans Bay extends for 14 km west of Three Islet Point to the Clyde River bridge, with eight beaches (NSW 523-530) located amongst the headlands and bays in between. The first two (NSW 523 & 524), are located in a 1 km wide south-facing rocky bay, bordered by Three Islet Reef in the east and Reef Point and Acheron Ledge to the west, with sea stacks prominent on both boundaries (Fig. 4.371). The first (NSW 523) can only be accessed by a private road or by boat and is backed by patches of cleared land with a house on its eastern headland. It is a curving 300 m long south-facing beach, with a few private shacks and a boat ramp at its eastern end. It is composed of coarse sand and cobbles and receives usually low waves, which maintain a steep reflective cusped beach face, with a low rock reef outcropping at either end of the beach. The western end borders the third small section of Murramarang National Park.
