Beach NSW 598 is located inside the entrance wall. It is a curving 360 m long strip of sand located between the northern wall and a southern internal channel wall. It faces east out the 60 m wide trained entrance, with only low waves reaching the shore. These maintain a steep reflective beach, however the deep inlet channel and strong tidal currents are located 100 m offshore and hard against the southern wall. A swimming net is located across the northern corner of the beach clear of the currents. There is a car park at the northern end and a walking track the length of the beach.
