Corrie Island (PS 3) commences on the western side of the 150 m wide Lower Myall River mouth and consists of a crenulate 1.4 km long beach along its eastern side, backed by low vegetated terrain grading to mangrove-fringed shore on its western and northern sides. The island represents and emerged section of the flood tide delta, and in the past has been connected to and received sand via Winda Woppa beach. The island is flood prone and uninhabited, with the beach only used by occasional boat fishers.
