To the south of the conical 20 m high Scotts Head is 2 km of steep rocky shore, with two small beaches (NSW 130 & 131) wedged in amongst the rocks. The first, Little Beach (NSW 130) is located on the southern side of the head, and curves to the southeast for 150 m. It lies directly south of the surf club and caravan park, and is backed by a car park. This is a popular beach, particularly in summer when is moderately protected from the northeasterlies. It is also slightly protected from southeast waves, as a result waves average about 1 m, forming a continuous attached bar, usually cut by rips against each headland, and following higher waves by a third central rip. read more
