Termeil Lake beach (NSW 482) curves for 1.7 km between the northern Termeil Point and the larger Meroo Head. It is backed by a densely vegetated 100-200 m wide barrier and Termeil Lake, with the usually closed lake entrance located against the northern Termeil Point. The beach usually has an attached bar cut by several rips, with wave height, rip frequency and intensity decreasing to the south in lee of Meroo Head where some reefs extend 700 m north of the point.
