Macs Beach (249) is the north part of an 11.2 km long beach that begins as the mangroves of Mangrove Point are replaced by a low energy beach ridge fronted by 300 m wide sand flats. The beach runs southwest for 8 km as Macs Beach, until Tiddy Widdy settlement when the names change to Tiddy Widdy beach, and finally it is called Youngs Beach just before it terminates at the 10 high red cliffs that continue on down to Ardrossan.
The beach receives occasionally low wind waves which maintain the 300 m wide intertidal sand flats, and the narrow shelly high tide beach. The also pile seagrass debris on the beach, the debris at time 1 m deep and extending up to 50 m across the beach. There is access to the beach at Macs Beach where there is only a beach boat ramp, then at Tiddy Widdy where there is also a beach boat ramp but no other facilities.
Beach Length: 11.2km
