Past Laverton Creek drainage channel, the coast continues to the south. It consists of a low, narrow beach (Skeleton Creek), backed by low, swampy ground. The northern end is backed by the Altona Explosives Reserve, while the southern half has swampy lakes that drain into Skeleton Creek, whose mouth forms the boundary between the two beaches. Both beaches are fronted by 200 m wide, low gradient, intertidal sand flats. There is presently no public access to these beaches, although they may become part of the adjacent Point Cook Coastal Park.
Beach Length: 1.5km
