Darby Bay is a small beach located around the rocks from Darby Beach and 1 km north of Fairy Cove. The beach is backed by steep bluffs, which are capped by cliff-top dunes. The Tongue Point track runs along the ridge 100 m above the beach, however there is no formed track to the beach.
The beach is 250 m long and faces south-west. Owing to some protection from Tongue Point, it receives waves averaging 1.3 m. These produce a low beach fronted by a continuous bar, which has two permanent rips; one against a large boulder in the surf and the second against the northern point.
Beach Length: 0.25km
