Picnic and Whisky Bays are two adjoining beaches on the northern side of Leonard Point. They are separated by the small Picnic Point. Car parks are located to either side of Picnic Point, with walking tracks leading across the foredunes to each beach.
Picnic Bay Beach is 500 m long, faces west and is sheltered toward its southern end by Leonard Point. Waves average 1.2 m and produce a usually continuously attached bar, with a permanent rip against Picnic Point.
