Beach WA 657 extends north from the northern side of Grunters Beach for 900 m to the southern boundary with Gnarabup Beach. It is backed by continuous 30-40 m high vegetated calcarenite bluffs, fronted by a 10-15 m high foredune. The beach extends in two arcs along the base of the bluffs, with shallow reefs extending a few hundred metres offshore. Waves break over the southern reefs (Grunters), while at the shore calm conditions usually prevail. There is access from the blufftop car parks at either end, while the national park terminates that the northern end of the beach.
