Beach WA 819 commences at the northern end of the port works and curves to the north then northwest for 400 m. It is sheltered by the harbour walls and only receives low wind waves. It is backed by partly active foredune rising to 10 m in places, then the Cockburn Road. Beaches WA 820 and 821 are located either side of the two boat ramp areas, and are also bordered by groynes and a seawall.
