Beach WA 816 continues to the north of the last breakwater for 2.5 km, past two 500 m long jetties of a steel mill, to the southern groyne/water inlet of the powerhouse. The beach receives slightly higher swell arriving around Garden Island and these usually maintain a narrow attached bar. It is backed by a 50 m wide grassy dune reserve, then a perimeter road with the steel mill in the south, and power house in the north.
Beach Length: 2.5km
