Beach WA 1748 is located 500 m to the north on the northern side of King Bay. It is a 50 m long pocket of sand wedged between two low mangroves-fringed rocky points. A road skirts the rear of the beach and facilities associated with the Woodside terminal surround the beach. A second beach and boulder spit once located 200-300 m to the west have been excavated to form the port berthing facilities, with a protective seawall and port loading area located on the boulder spit.
