Beach WA 1843 is a curving 300 m long strip of high tide sand fronted by 200 m wide tidal flats then the deep water of Butcher Inlet tidal channel. Mangroves fringe either end, together with a clump in the centre. The southern end of the beach is located 400 m north of the Cossack buildings, with the road passing 100 m west of the beach.
