Point Samson beach (WA 1834) fronts the original commercial area of the small settlement of the same name. The 700 m long beach begins at the western point then curves to the south to the edge of the bedrock, where the jetty is located (Figs. 4.393 & 394). It has a low gradient high tide beach with 500 m wide sand and rock flats exposed at low tide. The beach is also backed by a large car park, playground, picnic area, caravan park and tavern, with the growing residential area occupying the higher ground on the point.
