False Island Point has fringing reef growing to the shore with waves breaking across the 200-300 m wide reef system and larger waves reaching the shore. Low calcarenite bluffs fringe the point, with beach WA 1593 located on its northern side. It is a 600 m long steep reflective beach receiving ocean swell averaging about 0.5 m at the shore. The beach is interrupted by outcrops of beachrock and low calcarenite bluffs, with fringing reef extending 400 m offshore. Four wheel drive tracks reach either end of the beach.
