Beach WA 1590 commences at Tantabiddi Creek and trends to the north-northeast for 2.2 km to a low bluff-capped sandy foreland. Fringing reef parallels the beach, which faces west into the passage through the reef, located 3 km off the northern end of the beach. The passage permits low ocean swell to reach the beach. It is backed by the creek and a small lagoon in the south, adjacent to which a small research laboratory and public boat ramp are located. To the north dunes increase in instability with a 300 m wide area of active dunes backing the northern foreland.
Beach Length: 2.2km
General Hazard Rating: 3/10
